Apprentice star Thomas Skinner sees Strictly odds slashed for one key reason

Bookies have slashed odds on Thomas Skinner winning Strictly after he was paired with Amy Dowden . Experts reckon he will bag extra votes because she’s one of the most popular pro dancers. The mattress salesman has gone from 20/1 to 14/1 in just hours. It’s a much-needed boost for Thomas after a week from hell. Last Sunday he confessed to cheating on his wife, which left his reputation in tatters and threatened to derail chances on Strictly . Ladbrokes spokesperson Alex Apati told the Daily Star Sunday: “Tom’s been given a boost in the Strictly betting after a tough week. “He probably couldn’t have been paired with anyone better if he’s serious about going all the way.” The reality TV personality confessed to having a “two-week fling” with a beauty clinic owner just a fortnight after tying the knot to wife Sinead – and later apologised. The star revealed the ‘two-week fling’ in a candid admission, describing the affair as the “biggest mistake” of his life. Model Ellie Goldstein is also celebrating as she’s been paired with fan favourite Vito Coppola, who won just two years ago. Other contestants competing with former winners are La Voix with Aljaž Škorjanec, Lewis Cope with Katya Jones, Ross King with Jowita Przystał as well as Stefan Dennis with Dianne Buswell. The line-up also features Alex Kingston and Johannes Radebe, Balvinder Sopal and Julian Caillon, Chris Robshaw and Nadiya Bychkova, Dani Dyer and Nikita Kuzmin as well as George Clarke and Alexis Warr. Completing the list are Harry Aikines-Aryeetey and Karen Hauer, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and Lauren Oakley, Karen Carney and Carlos Gu alongside Vicky Pattison and Kai Widdrington. The contest kicks off with the first live show on Saturday at 6.55pm on BBC One.
