    Omaha release parties for Taylor Swift's 'The Life of a Showgirl'

    It’s been a long time coming … “The Life of a Showgirl” almost is here, and Omaha is ready to welcome the release of pop star Taylor Swift’s 12th studio album. Across town, fans can gather to listen to the highly anticipated album.
    Check out some of the spots that are hosting release events.
    Target
    The Target at 12500 K Plaza is hosting a midnight release party where fans can buy the new album at midnight.
    Not only can fans snag a copy of the Target-exclusive vinyl, but they’ll be able to make friendships starting at 8 p.m.
    In addition to the midnight releases, Target unveiled today its exclusive vinyl of the upcoming album: “The Life of a Showgirl: The Crowd Is Your King Edition (Summertime Spritz Pink Shimmer Vinyl)” with a giant double-sided poster included. It’s available for preorder now on Target.com and in stores on Oct. 3.
    Albany and Avers
    In Dundee, Albany and Avers is hosting a listening party at their store, located at 5011 Underwood Ave.
    Tickets are $5 per person as space is limited, and guests are encouraged to bring a shareable snack.

    The event is from 10:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.
    Annie’s Irish Pub
    Fans can sip on their favorite drink and dance to Swift’s album once the clock strikes 11 p.m. at Annie’s Irish Pub in downtown Omaha.
    The bar is located at 1101 Davenport St.
    Later events
    The following days are packed with other Swift festivities.
    Fans can check out “The Official Release Party of a Showgirl,” which is being featured in theaters across Omaha such as Marcus Theaters and AMC Theaters.
    The Quasar Drive-In Theater is showing the film as well at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. You can head over to their website to purchase tickets.
    Whether it’s listening to the album the second it drops or checking out Swift’s film to celebrate the album, Omaha Swifties have plenty of options to enter into this new era.
