Nexon, Harrier, Safari Lead Tata Motors To Record Sales In September 2025: Here's How Much They Sold

Tata Motors reported record-breaking sales in September 2025, led by strong demand across its SUV, EV, and CNG lineups. The company sold 60,907 passenger vehicles during the month, marking its highest-ever monthly sales and a 47 percent year-on-year increase. The Nexon stood out as the company’s best-selling model, crossing 22,500 units in September. This not only made it the highest monthly sales tally for the Nexon but also the best-ever monthly sales figure recorded for any Tata passenger vehicle. The model continues to lead in both petrol/diesel and EV versions. The Harrier and Safari also set a new benchmark with their highest-ever combined sales. The recently launched Adventure X edition has struck a chord with buyers, while the rollout of multiple powertrain options has expanded their appeal. Tata did not disclose exact model-wise numbers but confirmed this was the strongest month yet for both SUVs. The model has emerged as a consistent performer for Tata Motors, reinforcing its position as one of the most popular small SUVs in India. CNG-powered vehicles delivered their best-ever performance, with 17,800 units sold during the month. Demand was driven by models like the Tiago CNG, Tigor CNG, and the newly added CNG variants of the Punch and Altroz. Year-on-year, CNG volumes more than doubled, growing 105 percent. Electric vehicles also delivered record results, with 9,191 units sold in September; a 96 percent jump over last year. The Nexon EV led the EV portfolio, while the Tiago EV and Punch EV contributed strongly. The Harrier EV, though early in its launch phase, also added momentum.
