The Buffalo Bills are in the kind of spot that every NFL team would like to be in heading into Week 5, since they’re one of only a few teams left in the league with a 4-0 record. The team’s latest win was a lopsided one, over the New Orleans Saints in with a 31-19 final score. Even though it was expected that the Bills would totally tower over the Saints, it’s still great to see that they pulled it off, because sometimes it’s the least-assuming games that turn out to be the most difficult.
Now, the Buffalo Bills are heading into a game against the New England Patriots on Sunday evening, October 5. Even thought the Patriots aren’t who they were years ago, it’s always a big game when anyone goes up against them.
Now, the Buffalo Bills‘ MVP-winning quarterback Josh Allen has not one, not two but three reasons to brag heading into the Patriots matchup. He’s getting a much deserved, boost going into the 2025-26 season, and it’s just in time for the New England game. More than one person in the NFL have noticed that he’s been delivering this season, and they’re letting the world know.
Josh Allen of the Buffalo Bills Gets Major Props
Allen is having a huge season with the Bills, and that’s translated into wins. Nick Shook of the NFL’s website has a piece out naming the best quarterbacks going into Week 5, published on Thursday, October 2.
That was one of at least three quarterback rankings that has Allen as No. 1 this week. How great is that? CBS Sports has him on top, and so does USA Today.
Lots of Praise for Josh Allen of the Bills
“He won MVP last year, but Allen has been even better to start 2025,” Cody Benjamin of CBS Sports says. “Buffalo is undefeated in large part because he’s doing everything at a high level. His 10 total scores rank second among all quarterbacks, and he spreads the ball all over.”
“The Bills are one of the last two undefeated teams in the NFL. Allen threw his first interception of the season against the Saints on a ball that had just a bit too much air under it,” adds Jack McKessy of USA Today. “Otherwise, he got things done with his arm (209 yards, two touchdowns) and legs (45 rushing yards, one touchdown).”
So, Allen is on top, again, and he should be. Fox Sports did throw a little dig at him, though, in their nfl/2025-nfl-power-rankings-week-5″>NFL power rankings, stating, “Buffalo is 4-0 even though Josh Allen hasn’t looked like the reigning MVP since Week 1. Then again, the way running back James Cook is playing — 401 yards (second in the NFL) with a league-best five rushing touchdowns — maybe Allen doesn’t have to.
We beg to differ. Leave Allen alone.
