Baqai Medical University (BMU) successfully convened its 44th Board of Governors meeting, a landmark forum dedicated to shaping the institution’s strategic direction in education, research, and healthcare.
The meeting, chaired by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Iftikhar Ahmed, brought together esteemed members of academia, healthcare leaders, and trustees. Distinguished attendees included Chancellor Dr. Shoaib Baqai, Mrs. Fizza Baqai (Trustee, Baqai Foundation), Prof. Dr. Kashif Ikram (Pro Vice Chancellor, BMU), and Mr. Israr Ahmed Khan (Registrar & Member Secretary, BMU), along with senior representatives from the Government of Sindh and leading medical institutions.
Key discussions revolved around strengthening alumni engagement, introducing comprehensive HR policies, advancing research through the establishment of dedicated units, and aligning academic programs with international quality standards. These decisions reaffirm BMU’s commitment to innovation, governance excellence, and preparing future-ready healthcare professionals.
