The Sukkur Chamber of Commerce’s relentless efforts have finally borne fruit, as Serene Airline has assured the chamber that it will soon commence flight operations between Sukkur and Karachi.
During a visit to Sukkur on Thursday senior officials of Serene Airline held an important meeting with Hassan Farooq, member of the chamber’s standing committee on civil aviation and PIA, and informed him that the flights are expected to start within one to two months.
This significant development is a direct result of the special interest, tireless efforts, and consistent liaison with the airline by Sukkur Chamber of Commerce President Muhammad Khalid Kakezai and Federation Vice President and Sindh Regional Chairman Bilal Waqar Khan.
The airline officials stated that the decision was made considering the long-standing needs of Sukkur’s business community, industrialists, and general public.
The chamber’s request has not only promoted trade activities but will also provide a convenient and fast travel option for the local population.
Welcoming the decision, Sukkur Chamber of Commerce President Muhammad Khalid Kakezai said that the launch of this new air service will further strengthen business and social ties between Sukkur and Karachi, leading to a positive impact on the region’s economy.
