The Google Pixel Watch 4 is nearly here, and once it arrives, it’s introducing 8 new watch faces to the Wear OS platform. This is great news for users, as it’s never a bad thing to have more watch faces to choose from. Some of these watch faces have already been seen as they were shown off by Google at its hardware event a little earlier this year. However, not all of them were on display. Now, we’re getting a closer look at what each of these 8 new watch faces will look like on the Pixel Watch 4.
If you were curious what Google has cooked up, there are some pretty neat designs that will be available soon. These will be coming to Wear OS 6, and presumably won’t be limited to the Pixel Watch 4 forever. That being said, they won’t necessarily work on devices like the Pixel Watch 3. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try, though.
Here are what the 8 new Pixel Watch 4 watch faces look like
You’re probably wondering how these new watch faces are already in the wild, and that’s understandable. After all, the Pixel Watch 4 isn’t coming out until October 9. That being said, someone has already received their Pixel Watch 4 early (somehow), and extracted the watch faces via an APK. As reported by Android Authority, these are the 8 watch faces that are coming with the new watch next week.
Users will be able to select from Modular, Arts & Culture, Pride, Bold, Expedition, Reveal, Rushhour, and Concetric. Since the APK was extracted, you also get a good look at the design of each one. As mentioned, some of these were on display at Google’s event. For example, the Rushhour watch face is the one you can see in the image above. We’re partial to the Modular and Expedition watch faces, but all of them provide a nice aesthetic. As Android Authority points out, it might be possible to sideload the APK onto your own Wear OS 6 watch, but the watch faces won’t necessarily show up or work.
