Kalamazoo Country Club to expand amenities with ‘world-class’ racket facility

KALAMAZOO, MI — Tennis is a country club classic. But racket sports are changing.
Kalamazoo Country Club is joining the pickleball craze with a new facility for all things racket sports, expected to open in 2026 with “world-class” amenities.
Its new facility will feature three indoor and two outdoor tennis courts, according to a news release. It’ll also house six indoor and four outdoor lighted pickleball courts.
Inside, members will enjoy a lobby, viewing area and locker rooms. Racquets Pro Shop will offer equipment for both sports.
On the court, cutting-edge amenities like radar speed equipment and Playmate ball machines elevate the playing experience.
Members can expect year-round programming across all racket sports, including leagues, clinics, exhibitions and tournaments.
The Kalamazoo Country Club was founded in 1909. It offers dining, golf, aquatic and racket sports facilities for members.
Construction of the new clubhouse and racket facility has been underway since spring 2024, and is expected to open early 2026.
Kalamazoo County Club was founded in 1909, and is now owned and operated by Greenleaf Hospitality Group. The new facility is expected to reopen with an 11- and 18-hole golf course, new aquatic facilities and dining options.
