Razer Announces Availability of 4000 Hz HyperPolling Technology to BlackWidow V4 TKL, V4 Low-Profile, and V4 Low Profile TKL HyperSpeed Keyboards
Popular perihperal manufacturer, Razer, has announced the availability of its wireless 4000 Hz HyperPolling technology to more keyboards, bringing blazing-fast input for competitive gameplay. The 4000 Hz HyperPolling was originally introduced with the BlackWidow V4 Pro 75% keyboard, but now three more keyboards have received the wireless 4K Hz technology for superior performance.
The 4000 Hz HyperPolling will now be available to the BlackWidow V4 Tenkeyless HyperSpeed, BlackWidow V4 Low-Profile HyperSpeed, and the BlackWidow V4 Low-Profile Tenkeyless HyperSpeed keyboards. Razer says that with its True 4000 Hz wireless polling technology, its keyboards are ready to deliver blazing-fast performance in competitive gameplays, where every millisecond matters.
Normally, you would get only up to 1000 Hz of polling rate through 2.4 GHz wireless connection, and HyperPolling like 4000 Hz and 8000 Hz are only available via wired connection. Hence, the 4K Hz Wireless connectivity is a powerful feature that delivers four times more data per second, reducing the latency from 1 ms to just 0.25 ms. With such a high refresh rate, these keyboards will now deliver a big advantage over their competitors, offering gamers a better alternative without having to resort to wired connection. However, higher polling rate has an adverse effect on the battery life as well.
Nonetheless, those who already own the above-mentioned keyboards can upgrade to the latest 4000 Hz HyperPolling through the latest firmware. Users are recommended to update it via Razer Synapse 4 software and pair it with HyperPolling Wireless Dongle. The 8K HyperPolling dongle is available on Razer store for $39 and is compatible with a wide range of Razer mice and keyboards.
Ensure Synapse 4 is updated to the latest.
Navigate to the HyperPolling Wireless Dongle tab, initiate the pairing process.
Select “compatible keyboard” in the new interface.
Synapse will check and update the dongle’s firmware where necessary.
Once updated, follow the guided steps to complete pairing process.
