P.J. Washington's Alleged Texts Leaked in Battle With Ex Brittany Renner (Excl)

NBA star P.J. Washington’s alleged contentious texts with his ex, Basketball Wives alum Brittany Renner, are being used as evidence in her plea for $35,000 a month in support, Us Weekly can exclusively report.
In one alleged text, Renner, who announced her pregnancy in 2021, wrote to the Dallas Mavericks star, “Thank you! Also, can you send the $2,750 school deposit needed when you send the [child support] check too, so I can get that handled today.”
Washington, 27, allegedly responded, “Thats [sic] what child is for.” Renner, 33, replied, “You pay $5,500 for child support and are responsible for his school fees, which are separate.”
She continued, “That is what you agreed to. You can look over the agreement to refresh your memory but I need to get it handled ASAP.”
In the alleged text exchange, Washington replied, “I’ve also been paying for school and you chose not to take him, so by you paying the deposit, I know for fact he will be there.”
Renner sent a screenshot of an alleged previous text convo they exchanged and sent it to Washington. In the message, Renner appeared to tell Washington to stop payment on their kid’s school in Los Angeles due to her wanting to leave the state.
“The show doesn’t align with where I’m going and no amount of money is worth how it made me feel. I trust that there is better for me. As of now, I wanted to go to Seattle to visit for 2 weeks than drive back to Ohio after. I’m going to look for a place in Columbus instead. My goal is to get settled by the time he would start school.”
Renner wrote, “Also, you don’t make your own rules but if you insist. I absolutely have a solution for that as well. If you want our son enrolled in this school send the $2750 over today so I can get that squared away.”
In another alleged exchange, Washington told Renner, “Money sent the least you can do is buy him clothes and shoes with the CHILD SUPPORT. And take him to the barber shop damn.”
He allegedly added, “I’ll gladly take him full time from you I have zero problems with tht [sic].” She replied, “Nobody asked you to do that. I am asking you to execute what is in our agreement. Which includes his school fees which are separate from the monthly.” Washington allegedly replied, “Reading is fundamental.”
Renner included the alleged texts as part of her plea for $35,000 a month in child support, with $3,500 being for education. She said she needs more money to live in Los Angeles after she decided to stay.
In her filing, Renner claimed she was without a salary after she stopped filming Basketball Wives.
“I am struggling to make ends meet and I cannot provide Paul III a life anywhere similar to that of his father,” she said. She wrote, “To put in perspective how ridiculous current orders are, current child support payments … will comprise 0.30% of [Washington’s] monthly income. This is less than half a percent … of what [Washington] earns.”
Renner added, “Given [Washington’s] financial situation, I believe Paul III deserves to share in his father’s station in life. Currently, our home in West Hills is fine for me; however, I do not believe it is good enough for [our son]. I wish for Paul III to live in a home similar to that of his father and his half-siblings.”
