Phil Foden is confident of earning an England recall ahead of upcoming games against Wales and Latvia. But it could be more England heartache for forgotten man Jack Grealish . Thomas Tuchel will name his latest Three Lions squad on Friday, and is considering bringing Foden back into the fold. Foden asked to be left out of the squad in June to work on his mental health, and was not picked last month due to his struggling fitness. But he has returned to top form for Manchester City this season, scoring two goals in seven appearances, to hand Tuchel a major boost as the clock ticks down to next summer’s World Cup. Grealish, meanwhile, has become an international outcast under Tuchel, and won his last cap almost 12 months ago in 3-1 win in Finland. Tuchel made it clear he would not consider picking the winger unless he was getting regular games at club level. And despite Grealish making an impressive start to the new season following his loan move to Everton from Manchester City, Tuchel has strong options out wide and is not expected to select him this time round. Which will be a huge blow to the 30-year-old winger, who is desperate to get back into the England fold, in a bid to impress Tuchel ahead of the finals in North America. England host Wales in a friendly at Wembley on Thursday, before taking on Latvia in a qualifier in Riga five days later. Tuchel will use the clash with Wales to run the rule over some of those who have struggled for minutes since he took charge. The German is expected to name a 24-man squad, and will keep faith with the likes of Djed Spence, Morgan Gibbs-White and Elliot Anderson. He is also set to recall John Stones , who withdrew from the last squad injured, and has Jude Bellingham available again following a shoulder operation. But fellow Real Madrid star Trent Alexander-Arnold will miss out again as he battles to overcome a hamstring problem.
