Bad Bunny is always welcome at 30 Rock … to a point. In a hilarious promo video ahead of his Saturday Night Live appearance this weekend, the Puerto Rican superstar tests the limits of the cast’s hospitality.

Posted on Wednesday (Oct. 1), the clip opens with Marcello Hernandez remarking how it’s “so cool” that Bad Bunny is back to host the show for a second time. “I feel like he’s been here a lot recently,” Sarah Sherman replies. “You think he’s getting comfortable with us?”
The video then cuts to Benito using Jane Wickline’s toothbrush despite having a sore throat and calling Ben Marshall a derogatory term as a joke — so it’s probably safe to say that the musician feels comfortable on set, if not a little too comfortable. At one point, he informs new cast member Veronika Slowikowska that his “friend, his baby, his dog” will all be crashing at her place.
“Today is literally my first day,” she replies, flustered.
The clip comes three days before Bad Bunny is set to helm the first episode of SNL‘s 51st season, with Doja Cat locked in as musical guest. The Latin star previously hosted in October 2023 and has performed on the series numerous times.

The hitmaker’s upcoming SNL gig is just one of several major career moments happening for him this week. On Sunday (Sept. 28), it was announced that Benito will headline the 2026 Super Bowl Halftime Show, six years after he joined Jennifer Lopez and Shakira during their Big Game performance in 2020.
Also on Wednesday, Billboard revealed that he is the latest global cover star. In his interview with Residente for the story, Bad Bunny spoke about how his live performances fuel Puerto Rican culture as it reaches a global audience.
“That’s something you can’t buy or steal,” he said. “It’s one of the things that fulfills me the most. I’ve always done things from the heart, and the cultural impact is a natural consequence of that. Seeing people of all ages at the show was incredible — young kids, adults, seniors, even people in their 80s and 90s. Some of them dressed up, feeling young again, proud of their Puerto Rican identity.”
