Chief Minister Siddramaiah on Saturday formally inaugurated the kiosk and Command Centre of the ‘Prabhuvinedge Prabhutva’ (Taking Government to Citizen) programme set up at different places in Gadag.
Accompanied by district in charge Minister H.K. Patil, the Chief Minister first inaugurated the kiosk of the programme installed at Javali Galli in Gadag by seeking information about the population of the district.
Mr. Siddramaiah subsequently visited ‘Indira Vana’ (park) and before he proceed to the office of the Superintendent of the Police for inauguration of the command centre, the information sought by him through the kiosk was provided to him by the district administration.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Siddramaiah said that the initiative would help the citizens in getting various government services and also ensure speedy solutions to problems.
Superintendent of Police of Gadag district Rohan Jagadish briefed about the initiative and how steps were being taken to ensure its effective implementation. Using the kiosk, the citizens would be able to get early solutions to their problems, he said.
Minister for Law, Justice, Human Rights, Parliamentary Affairs, Legislation and Tourism H.K. Patil said that the programme was initiated on the Independence Day and so far 14 applications had been submitted by the citizens on various issues and all of them had been disposed of. They were contemplating to expand the programme to other areas in the coming days, he said.
