A fast-growing Westchester County law firm that has seven offices in four states after just four years is now tripling the size of its office in downtown Buffalo near Niagara Square.
Coffey Modica, based in Tarrytown, has signed a lease for 2,665 square feet of office space on the seventh floor of 42 Delaware Ave., an eight-story office building. Built in 1929 and owned by Toronto-based Gold Wynn, the 71,154-square-foot building housed the Buffalo City Court until the 1970s.
The business defense litigation firm opened its Buffalo office in the building in 2022, and opted to stay in that location – between the Erie County Holding Center and Buffalo City Court – because of its proximity to the major courthouses.
