Strictly's Thomas Skinner says 'please don't forget' in plea after Amy Dowden revealed 'warning'

Thomas Skinner has shared a ‘please don’t forget’ message to Strictly Come Dancing fans after Amy Dowden revealed a warning from her husband about their time in the competition. The pair are currently in training for their second routine of the 2025 series, which is set to be a Salsa to Bonkers by Dizzee Rascal and Armand Van Helden. It comes after they took to the dance floor during the first live show of the BBC One dance contest his year last Saturday (September 27) and attempted to bring the drama with his Paso Doble to Battle Without Honour or Humanity by Hotei. While Thomas confessed he was “over the moon” with his performance, he and Amy only managed to achieve 16 points. It was made up of a two from Craig, a four from Motsi and two fives from Shirley and Anton, leaving them at the lower end of the leaderboard. Ahead of their next performance, which will be followed by the first dance-off of Strictly’s 2025 series, Thomas took to Instagram with a video of the pair in their training room. Alongside the clip, he wrote: “I just realised it is Wednesday today not Thursday [crying laughing emojis]! We are in the famous Cecil Sharp House, where people have been dancing away for years. “Just finished training and it’s been another hard day of training in the bag and we have got something special lined up for Saturday night. I couldn’t dance a few weeks ago and I’m over the moon I’ve got @amy_dowden teaching me all the moves.” He added: “Please don’t forget to vote for us this weekend if you are watching, you get 5 free ones every week….. love you all. Bosh.” It comes after Amy revealed that she has been warned by her husband to “be careful” with her Strictly routines. The 35-year-old’s partner Ben Jones has warned her not to exert herself too much. Amy – who was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2023 and was forced to withdraw from Strictly last year due to a foot injury – told ITV’s Lorraine on Wednesday (October 1): “The routine we got on Saturday, we just put everything in it. “It’s full on, there’s no way my body would have coped last year. I’m doing things I never thought I’d do on Strictly Come Dancing. My husband said, ‘Just be careful.’ He’s so strong.” Meanwhile, Amy hailed Thomas for “working so hard” during training and for taking Strictly “so seriously” despite his lack of dancing experience. The Welsh dancer said: “We’re having so much fun too. What I love is how much it means, how much he wants to improve and get it right. Watching him dance last weekend was so rewarding for me. “For a non-dancer, a complete beginner, someone not in the entertainment world, to see what you produced, I was buzzing.” Amy quipped: “Someone said I sounded like Stacey from Gavin and Stacey.”
