New Delhi: In a major development the Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Industries’ FMCG unit Reliance Consumer Products Limited (RCPL) has made foray into the bottled water segment. The company has launched SURE mineral water (Reliance Water) which is priced significantly lower than existing market players like Bisleri and Kinley.
Here are some of the key details:
SURE is positioned as a high-quality yet budget-friendly option
The price of Sure is 20–30 percent cheaper than leading brands in the market.
This move marks Reliance’s strategic expansion beyond beverages like Campa Cola into everyday essential products
It also aims to capture a share of India’s rapidly growing ₹30000-crore packaged water market.
A 250 ml bottle of Sure water is priced at Rs 5.
Campa Sure is expected to launch in the North markets in the next two weeks.
Its larger packs are priced 20–30% lower compared to existing national brands.
A one-liter bottle of Campa Sure costs Rs 15 while Bisleri Coca-Cola’s Kinley and PepsiCo’s Aquafina are priced at Rs 20.
The two-liter pack of Campa Sure is priced at Rs 25 while competitors’ packs cost between Rs 30–35.
What’s next in Reliance Consumer’s plan?
According to the reports Reliance Consumer Products plans to partner with dozens of regional manufacturers for its new water brand Campa Sure. It is believed that with lower prices this brand could shake up the Rs 30000 crore packaged water segment.
According to media reports Reliance Consumer Products director T. Krishnakumar said that the company will collaborate and partner with several regional packaged water firms to ensure supply governance standards and support for smaller brands.
He also added that these partnerships would be based on bottled water technology and potential branding alliances. According to him the company does not plan to acquire these partners.
