Culpa Mia's Nicole Wallace Sets Amazon MGM Deal, 'Postcards From Italy'

Nicole Wallace, the Spanish star of Prime Video’s biggest international originals, “Culpa Mia” and “Culpa Tuya,” has signed an exclusive talent holding deal with Amazon MGM Studios.
Under the pact, Wallace will work with Amazon MGM Studios to find projects she can star in across the company’s global television and film lineup on Prime Video. The first project under the deal that Wallace will star in is “Postcards From Italy,” the recently announced English-language Italian original series created by Lisa Riccardi and Damiano Bruè and directed by Oscar-winning director Jessica Yu, whose credits include “13 Reasons Why,” “Only Murders in the Building” and “The Morning Show.” The news was announced during Prime Video’s Retreat event in Ibiza earlier today.
“Postcards From Italy” follows the misadventures of Mia, a young and spoiled New York heiress who is sent by her grandfather to Palermo, without money or luxuries, to work as a real estate agent in the family business. Production began in September. The series is co-produced by Amazon MGM Studios with Gaumont Italia and will be available exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.
The holding deal comes off the heels of the incredible success of the “Culpables” franchise, based on Mercedes Ron’s New York Times bestselling “Culpables” book trilogy. The first two films in the trilogy, titled “Culpa Mía” and “Culpa Tuya,” in which Wallace starred, broke records as the most-watched international originals across Prime Video in 2023 and 2024, respectively.
“Nicole Wallace has connected with audiences worldwide through her authentic performance in the Culpables franchise,” said Nicole Clemens, VP and head of international originals at Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios. “Her natural ability to bring emotional depth to her characters resonates with viewers across different countries and cultures. This talent deal represents our excitement about Nicole’s global potential and reinforces our commitment to nurturing emerging international talent who can help tell compelling stories for our global audience.”
Wallace, who has dual U.S. and Spanish citizenship, said: “This partnership is a dream opportunity to grow, collaborate with visionary voices, and help bring meaningful stories to life.”
“As I prepare to play ‘Mia’ in Postcards from Italy, directed by the brilliant Jessica Yu, I feel more inspired than ever to push myself creatively and explore characters with depth and complexity,” Wallace continued. The actor also praised Amazon MGM Studios for their “commitment to bold, fearless storytelling.”
The “Culpables” franchise’s final chapter, “Culpa Nuestra” (“Our Fault”), will premiere on Prime Video Oct. 16. It already broke records with its trailer, which became the most watched ever for an original streaming movie with 163 million views in one week.
Wallace also stars in “The House of Spirits,” the upcoming Amazon Original limited series in Chile which hails from FilmNation, Fabula and producer Eva Longoria. The show will premiere in 2026. Based on Isabel Allende’s critically acclaimed novel, “The House of Spirits” has Wallace playing a young Clara del Valle alongside an all-star Latin cast that includes Alfonso Herrera, Dolores Fonzi and Fernanda Castillo.
The young Madrid-based actor previously starred in the limited series “Ni Una Mas” (“Raising Voices”), based on Miguel Saez Carral’s novel. The series debuted to 25.4 million viewers on Netflix and was the streamer’s most-watched non-English language drama globally for two weeks. She broke out in the Spanish series “Skam España,” based on the hit Norwegian teen drama.
