With Ghost of Yotei finally out, gamers around the world are diving in to play through the adventures of Atsu as she seeks her vengeance. If you are wondering how big the game map is before deciding to buy, we have some important information for you.

How big is the map in Ghost of Yotei?

The map in Ghost of Yotei is roughly the same size as the one in Ghost of Tsushima. The big difference is how the map has been designed. The Ghost of Yotei world is split into a number of different playable areas that you can travel to via distinct means. Once you get there the first time, you can then fast-travel back and forth at any point.

The areas in between these regions are filled with forests, lakes, seas, and mountains, giving the impression that the world is both huge and densely packed with areas of interest and things to do. All this combines to make Ghost of Yotei extremely fun to explore. For some of the shrines, the routes to climb to them can be long and complex, and when you get there, the views are incredible.

Best of all, you don’t need to visit the different areas in a set order, and can instead choose to go to them and hunt their resident members of the Yotei Six in whatever order appeals to you. This gives a great sense of freedom that was achieved in Ghost of Tsushima, and will make subsequent replays of the campaign more interesting.
