Romanian Energy Symposium – SIREN 2025, Crowne Plaza, September 22-24, 2025

Between September 22-24, 2025, the Romanian Energy Symposium – SIREN 2025 will take place, with the theme “Resilient and Just Transition for the Romanian Energy Sector”, organized by the Romanian National Committee of the World Energy Council CNR-WCE, under the patronage of the Ministry of Energy.

The event will take place in a hybrid format as follows: The works on September 22 and 23, 2025 will be held at the Crowne Plaza Bucharest Hotel and, online, on the Zoom platform, the Communication Sessions on September 24, 2025 will take place.

SIREN 2025 is the national symposium dedicated exclusively to energy and the Romanian economic environment, which will analyze energy in Romania in all its complexity and current issues, in a complete debate, from the national strategy to the problems of the smallest energy consumer.

Underlining the importance of organizing SIREN 2025, Prof. Dr. Ing Ion Lungu, President of CNR-CME, states: “We are at the third edition of the Romanian Energy Symposium. The event is taking place at a time when digitalization is rapidly transforming the energy sector, redefining the way energy production, transport, distribution and use are managed. Thus, SIREN 2025 will bring together experts in the field who will contribute to defining digitalization as an essential part of the current energy sector. Artificial Intelligence and Cyber-Security also have a major impact on energy processes. The success of our event will result from the diversity and quality of the ideas that will be debated, ideas that will lead to solutions offered to decision-makers for coherent and efficient actions. To have safe, sustainable, clean, accessible energy!”

In turn, Prof. Dr. Eng. Ștefan Gheorghe, CNR-CME Executive Director General, states: “The SIREN 2025 mission has all the conditions to be fulfilled by defining four main themes, capable of grouping most of the topics that concern the Romanian energy community: 1) Strategies and policies for the energy transition; 2) Investment programs in the energy field; 3) New technologies in the energy field; 4) Trade policies, market and consumers. The symposium also includes a Scientific Communications Session with specialized sections that will highlight developments, research and successful experiences from all energy segments. SIREN 2025 also includes a Tutorials program, through which CNR-CME wants to materialize one of its main goals, namely the didactic component, training and dissemination of experience. We also invite Romanian energy specialists, our collective and individual members and all collaborators in this way our participants to participate in the third edition of the Romanian Energy Symposium, with the wish for a successful event”.

The final program of SIREN 2025 will be available a few days before the event.
