New Delhi: The experience of a technical expert of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is being discussed on social media these days. He said that the Human Resources (HR) team of the company asked him to resign but he flatly refused. The employee wrote a post on Reddit saying Three days ago I was called to a meeting and asked to resign. I was scared I even cried but I said I will not resign. They threatened to give me a bad review but I said do whatever you want to do.”
Stopping project allocation freezing profiles
The employee alleged that the company is targeting bench employees (who do not have any projects at the moment). According to him the HR freezes their profiles so that they do not get new projects. Even if they find a project through their contacts Resource Management Group (RMG) cancels that allocation. He said that many other employees are also refusing to resign.
HR’s threats
HR calls them every day and threatens them with various consequences like stopping their salaries blacklisting them giving bad reviews or saying that they will not get a job anywhere else. Despite this the employees have been protesting for more than 10 days and they are still staying in TCS.
Employees hanging in even after more than 10 days
Describing the environment of Infosys as toxic he wrote that he had joined TCS because its job security and work culture were highly praised but now he regrets it. He said that the company has changed after the passing away of Ratan Tata. This is not the first time such cases have come to light in IT companies. Some time ago a professional from Pune also told how he resigned from Infosys without finding another job. At present there has been no official response from TCS on this viral post.
