A ceremonial event was held in the Bostanlik district of the Tashkent region in celebration of Teacher and Educators’ Day today, on September 15, the Presidential press service reported.

At the event, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev opened his remarks by congratulating all teachers who have dedicated their lives to educating and nurturing the younger generation, expressing his deep respect and admiration for their work.

According to the Presidential decree dated September 11 of this year, a group of outstanding figures in the education system was awarded honorary titles, orders, and medals. Among them were generous entrepreneurs who built schools at their own expense, as well as foreign partners who are contributing to the implementation of advanced achievements in education.

At the ceremony, these awards were presented with full honors.

’’I give titles, orders, and medals to many representatives of different fields. But I have been eagerly awaiting the day when our teachers are honored. Congratulations on the orders and medals that now adorn your chests. May the number of devoted teachers worthy of high recognition increase in our country,’’ the President said.

Speaking on behalf of the awardees, representatives expressed their gratitude to the Head of State for his attention to education and his deep respect for the teaching profession.
