The NFL season is four weeks through, which means the road to Super Bowl LX has already begun. Even with the defending champion Philadelphia Eagles sitting at 4-0, plenty of teams still have legitimate hopes of contending for a championship.
Eleven franchises currently have a record of 3-1 or better, and that doesn’t even include the Kansas City Chiefs. Patrick Mahomes and company had a chance to complete an unprecedented three-peat last Super Bowl, but the Eagles blew them out 40-22.
Now, Kansas City is looking to win a fourth straight AFC Championship and its fourth Lombardi Trophy of the league’s most recent dynasty. But this year’s team has gotten off to a slow start and is currently 2-2.
As for the 2026 NFL playoffs, they will begin on January 10, with the conference championship games scheduled for January 25. The AFC Championship will take place at 3:00 PM ET that day, while the NFC Championship Game will follow at 6:30 PM ET.
Two weeks later, Super Bowl LX will take place, and GIVEMESPORT is here to provide you with all the information on this event. Here’s what we know about the final game of the 2025-2026 NFL year.
Super Bowl LV will kick off on Sunday, February 8, the earliest date for this game since Super Bowl LV between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Historically, this event used to take place in mid-to-late January from 1967 to the 21st century. However, since the new millennium, the Super Bowl has occurred on either the first or second weekend of February all but one time.
Location
Levi’s Stadium — Santa Clara, California
Super Bowl LX will be hosted at Levi’s Stadium for the second time ever. The San Francisco 49ers’ home stadium was opened on January 17, 2014, and has played host to several iconic sporting events.
This includes multiple PAC-12 Championship games, the 2019 College Football Playoff National Championship, Wrestlemania 31, and Super Bowl 50 between the Denver Broncos and Carolina Panthers.
This clash took place on February 7, 2016, and saw all-time great quarterback Peyton Manning play his final NFL game, winning his second Lombardi Trophy.
Denver Broncos superstar defensive end Von Miller was named the game’s MVP in this 24-10 victory. The future Hall of Famer recorded 6 total tackles, 2.5 sacks, and 2 crucial strips of that season’s regular-season MVP Cam Newton.
Levi’s Stadium is an open-air, multipurpose complex with a base seating capacity of 68,500 that can be increased to approximately 75,000. The record attendance for this venue was 80,000 during a concert for Ed Sheeran’s +−=÷× Tour on September 16, 2023.
Levi’s Stadium is a natural grass venue, and along with events like Super Bowl LX, will play host several matches during the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The Super Bowl has been hosted in California a total of 13 times, with appearances in Los Angeles twice, Pasadena five times, San Diego three times, and Stanford, Santa Clara, and Inglewood once.
Start Times
Super Bowl LX is expected to start at 6:30 PM ET, as it has in years past. For viewers on the Pacific coast, that means the game will start in the early afternoon, while viewers in the UK will be able to watch the game a little before noon.
This event will last between three and four hours. Considering the spectacle of it and the lengthy halftime show, viewers should expect to be up well after 10 PM on the East Coast, especially if they want to see the Lombardi Trophy ceremony after the final whistle.
Halftime Performance
Grammy-award-winning artist Bad Bunny will be the featured performer for Super Bowl LX’s halftime show. The Puerto Rican rapper and singer is a widely acclaimed musician who is considered among the greatest Latino rappers of all time.
Bad Bunny has sold over 115 million equivalent album units worldwide and been nominated for 481 awards throughout his career, winning 184 of them.
The Vega Baja, Puerto Rico native has topped the Billboard 200 chart four times with his albums El Último Tour del Mundo, Un Verano Sin Ti, Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana, and Debà Tirar Más Fotos.
Bad Bunny has been a fixture in American pop culture, touring the nation multiple times throughout his career and even participating in several WWE pay-per-view events as a wrestler, including WrestleMania 37.
This decision by the NFL has garnered a lot of praise but some controversy due to the 31-year-old’s decision not to include the US in his recent Debà Tirar Más Fotos World Tour.
Bad Bunny has been clear that he made this decision due to concerns over potential Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) actions at his concerts.
Regardless of where the public stands on that issue, this halftime performance will certainly draw a large audience for a performer who deserves to be on this stage.
