Banijay Asia has announced the launch of its new format Race to Space in Thailand, with plans to roll out an India edition shortly. The format, created in partnership with the Space Exploration & Research Agency (SERA), aims to blend entertainment with the aspiration of space travel.The Thailand version, produced by Deepak Dhar’s CreAsia Studio for TrueVisions NOW, will select the first Thai citizen to travel to space. According to the company, the project combines scientific expertise with large-scale reality television to deliver a new category of unscripted programming.“As an Indian creator and producer, it fills me with pride to see our ideas travelling beyond borders and shaping new frontiers of storytelling,” said Dhar, Founder and Group CEO of Banijay Asia, Endemol Shine India and CreAsia Studio.
