Aer Lingus has announced that all of its flights between Manchester and the island of Ireland will now move to Terminal 2 at Manchester Airport.

From tomorrow, Tuesday, 16th September, all Aer Lingus and Aer Lingus Regional flights (operated by Emerald Airlines) to Manchester will depart from and arrive into Terminal 2, offering customers a modern and streamlined travel experience.

This transition is part of Manchester Airport’s £1.3 billion transformation programme, which brings all Aer Lingus operations – including its transatlantic services from Manchester – under one roof at Terminal 2. As well as flights to Dublin and Belfast City Airport (operated by Emerald Airlines), Aer Lingus also flies three transatlantic routes from Manchester Airport to New York JFK, Orlando and Barbados.

Terminal 2 at Manchester Airport offers Aer Lingus customers flying between Manchester and Ireland an enhanced airport experience and allows for easier connections to other Aer Lingus services.

Manchester Airport Terminal 2 highlights include:

Convenient self-service kiosks for faster check-in

Free Wi-Fi and charging stations to stay connected

A wide selection of shops, restaurants, ATMs, and currency exchange services

From Manchester, Aer Lingus offers direct flights to New York JFK, Orlando, and its only direct service to Barbados – a seasonal route operating from 28th October 2025 to 28th May 2026. The transition to Terminal 2 makes it even easier for Irish travellers to access this idyllic Caribbean destination.

The terminal move will also make it easier than ever for customers flying from Manchester and the North of England to connect through Dublin to Aer Lingus’ extensive transatlantic network, which includes Cancun, Nashville, Indianapolis, Cleveland, Minneapolis-St.Paul and Denver. Customers flying to the US with Aer Lingus can avail of US customs preclearance at Dublin Airport.
