The Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) closed the week’s trading activity with a positive performance, as market indices posted notable gains and no listed equities recorded losses.
A total of 746,677 shares, valued at approximately GH¢2.18 million were traded.
This represents a 2% drop in volume and a 34% decline in turnover compared to Thursday, September 18, 2025.
Market capitalization remains strong at GH¢157.4 billion.
Out of the 22 equities that participated in Friday, September 20, 2025 session, seven (7) recorded gains, while none posted losses.
The top gainers were Ecobank Transnational closing at GH¢0.89 per share. Clydestone Ghana followed with a 6.67% increase.
Market capitalisation hits GH¢154 billion
Ecobank Ghana rose by 3.66% and Enterprise Group added 3.33% per share.
MTN Ghana recorded the highest trading volume with 316,797 shares changing hands. Other actively traded stocks included: Societe Generale Ghana with 250,308 shares, CalBank with 94,324 shares and SIC Insurance with 45,495 shares.
