Oklahoma State has indefinitely suspended Richetti Jones from his staff position as director of player development, the Tulsa World has learned.
Jones got into a verbal altercation with safety DeAndre Boykins on the sideline during OSU’s 45-27 loss to Baylor last Saturday.
Brett McMurphy from On3 was the first to report the news.
Jones has been on the Oklahoma State staff since 2021. He was a defensive end from 2008-11 and celebrated the team’s last Big 12 championship during his senior season.
Boykins, a junior safety, entered the transfer portal this week.
According to Pokes Report, Boykins quit the team last Friday, less than 24 hours away from the Baylor contest. The Saturday altercation on the sidelines stemmed from what took place in the team hotel the night before.
Boykins transferred to OSU from North Carolina. He saw action in two games (UT Martin, Tulsa) but didn’t record any statistics.
