Pete Wicks and Jowita Przystal have thrilled supporters by publicly ‘confirming’ their relationship through a passionate display of romance. The Strictly Come Dancing duo Pete, 36, and Jowita, 31, showcased a routine they had been keeping for the BBC programme’s finale – which they just missed reaching – at London’s O2 Arena yesterday evening, during a special live performance for Pete and mate Sam Thompson’s Staying Relevant podcast. Pete and professional dancer Jowita delivered a sultry routine to KALEO’s Way Down We Go, which opened with Jowita hanging in mid-air using aerial silks before descending into Pete’s embrace. The couple then executed the passionate choreography and were spotted sharing three kisses throughout the performance, prompting rapturous applause from spectators. Footage of the moment has appeared on TikTok and followers have described the display as a ‘hard launch’ of Pete and Jowita’s relationship in the comments beneath the podcast’s latest upload. The upload, posted by the Staying Relevant podcast on Instagram, captures Sam and Pete positioned on the O2 stage, embracing and acknowledging the sold-out audience. Overlaid text states: “From two guys that didn’t know each other to two best mates headlining the O2”, reports the Mirror . Whilst supporters praised the duo in the responses, many were eager to discuss Pete’s freshly revealed romance. One enquired: “Was that like a hard launch?” “Hard launch for Pete and Jowita,” another commented whilst a third posted: “You and jowita” accompanied by a heart eye emoji. Former The Only Way Is Essex star Pete and Jowita initially crossed paths when they were partnered for last year’s Strictly series, whilst Pete was in a relationship with Maura Higgins, though reports suggest romance only blossomed recently, well after Pete’s break up with Maura. A source told the Daily Mail: “Pete and Jowita are now an item, they’ve been dating for a few weeks. “They kept things professional on Strictly, there was no crossover with Maura. “But once Pete was single they grew close again and recently the relationship has blossomed into something more.” Speculation about a potential romance began when Pete shared an effusive birthday message for Jowita in August. He uploaded a collection of images from their Strictly journey together, including some intimate selfies, and penned in the caption: “It was never about dancing…it was about the person. Happy birthday @jowitaprzystal – I am so blessed and grateful to have you in my life. My pocket rocket” followed by a black heart emoji.
