Now, You Have Reason To Smile Wider: Colgate Toothpaste & Brushes To Get Cheaper From September 22

Various companies have announced that starting September 22, they will pass on the benefits of new GST rates to customers. This initiative will lower the prices of toothpaste and toothbrushes, providing relief to the general public. This comes amid rising awareness about oral health in India.
Further reinforcing Colgate-Palmolive’s 88-year commitment to oral care, the company has unveiled a list of products with revised rates.
New Prices For Colgate Products
The prices of several Colgate products will decrease following the GST rate cut. For instance, Colgate Total Health 80g toothpaste, previously priced at Rs 95, will now be available for Rs 80.
Maxfresh 50g has been reduced from Rs 138 to Rs 135. Strong Teeth 200g, which was earlier available for Rs 149, is now priced at Rs 130. The price of 200 grams of Active Salt has been lowered from Rs 166 to Rs 142. Among toothbrushes, the Zigzag Deep Clean 6-pack has been reduced from Rs 155 to Rs 138, and the Sensitive Toothbrush from Rs 70 to Rs 62. This change will be effective from September 22, 2025.
Check Prices Before You Buy
Customers are advised to check prices when purchasing, as due to the transitional period, products may be available at both old and new prices. Colgate’s move is expected to bring relief to middle-class families, where reducing daily expenditure is crucial. Experts suggest that this will help improve customers’ oral health.
With the new GST rates starting from September 22, customers will be able to purchase high-quality products at more affordable prices. Popular products like Strong Teeth and Active Salt, known for their benefits in strengthening teeth, will now be accessible to every household.
The Zigzag brush, a favourite among children, will become more affordable for parents. Experts believe Colgate’s move will increase market competition and encourage other brands to reduce prices as well. However, some customers have suggested that companies should prepare to avoid stock shortages.
This change will be implemented across India from September 22, 2025. Colgate’s move is set to not only improve dental health but also help household budgets, allowing families to access high-quality products at affordable prices, a positive shift for Indian households.
