Each week during the season, the World will update its ranking of the top-10 metro high school football players. Rankings are based on performance this season, previous years’ accomplishments and potential. Below are the updated rankings with the players’ Week 3 position in parentheses:
1. KD Jones
Jenks, RB, Sr. (1)
Although he was held to 42 yards on 20 carries, he had six catches for 63 yards, a 55-yard kickoff return and two TDs in the 6AI No. 2 Trojans’ 66-35 loss against No. 1 Bixby. For the season, has 579 rushing yards and 12 TDs overall in four games. Was an All-World offensive player of the year finalist in the past two seasons. In 2024, carried 229 times for 1,476 yards and 17 TD. Also caught 24 passes for 256 yards and four TDs. Counting his freshman season at Broken Arrow, has career totals of 4,532 rushing yards and 52 TDs with 101 catches for 1,253 yards and 11 TDs.
2. Semaj Stanford
Broken Arrow, DB/WR, Jr. (2)
Produced 12 tackles, including eight solo, plus six catches for 84 yards in a 28-14 loss against Owasso. For the season, has 49 tackles and 12 catches for 208 yards and a TD. In 2024, had a team-high 102 tackles for Jenks and was an All-World first-team selection. Overall, he had 193 tackles and four takeaways in the past two seasons.
3. Cord Nolan
Bixby, LB/TE, Sr. (3)
Texas Tech commit had five tackles and caught a 30-yard pass on a fake punt against Jenks. This season, has 15 tackles, six QB hurries, two TDs, six catches for 609 yards and two 2-point conversions. In 2024, he had 108 tackles, including 77 solos, with 17 for losses and five sacks. On offense, he had 35 catches for 522 yards with five TDs. In 2023, he caught 23 passes for 632 yards and 10 TDs. Caught a TD pass as a freshman in the ‘22 state final.
4. Xavier ‘Zizi’ Okwufulueze
Rejoice Christian, WR/DB, Sr. (4)
OU commit had four catches for 138 yards and a TD in the Class AI No. 1 Eagles’ 76-7 win over Haskell. Also had a 16-yard TD run. This season, has 22 catches for 496 yards and five TDs overall. In 2024, he was selected to the All-World first team after he caught 46 passes for 901 yards and nine TDs. On defense, he scored on two of his four interceptions for the defending state champion Eagles.
5. Carson Kirby
Bixby, QB, Sr. (5)
Completed 20-of-24 passes for 266 yards and six TDs against Jenks. Also had four rushes for 43 yards. This season, he is 67-of-86 for 922 yards and 14 TDs. During the past two seasons, Kirby completed 394-of-565 passes for 5,196 yards and 69 TDs while winning two state titles. Career totals: 461-of-651 for 6,118 yards and 83 TDs; 887 rushing yards, nine TDs.
6. Kailib Dillard
Jenks, DB/WR, Jr. (6)
Caught four passes for 117 yards and two TDs, had 10 tackles and averaged 35.6 yards on five punts against Bixby. This season, has 23 catches for 434 yards and six TDs. Also has 26 tackles and an interception. Last year, had 68 tackles with seven pass breakups in his first season with Jenks after helping Lincoln Christian win a 3A title in 2023. Won All-World preseason readers voting as the area’s top defensive back. Has 15 major college offers.
7. Easton Webb
Sand Springs, QB, Sr. (7)
Texas State commit completed 24-of-35 passes for 285 yards and a TD, plus had two rushing TDs in a 51-0 win at Bartlesville. For the season, has connected on 82-of-128 passes for 891 yards and accounted for nine TDs. Holds the Sandites’ career passing yards record with 6,952 and has 65 TDs as he has completed on 499-of-806 attempts. In 2024, he passed for 3,502 yards and 41 TDs as the Sandites made it to the 6AII semifinals. Also is one of the state’s top baseball pitchers.
8. Braeden Presley
Bixby, WR/DB, Sr. (8)
Caught four passes for 154 yards, including an 80-yard TD, against Jenks. In four games, has 11 catches for 299 yards and three TDs, a 43-yard run, seven tackles and two pass breakups. Last year, had 33 solo tackles and four interceptions. In limited time on offense, he had 25 catches for 356 yards plus 14 rushes for 245 yards with six TDs.
9. Jayden Hall
Owasso, RB, Sr. (NR)
Debuts in the rankings after carrying 35 times for 203 yards and two TDs in a 28-14 win at Broken Arrow. Also had two catches for 16 yards. For the season, has 90 carries for 657 yards and five TDs plus nine catches for 64 yards. In four seasons, has totals of 393 rushes for 2,860 yards and 35 TDs. Had 24 rushes for 202 yards and three TDs in last year’s 6AI state final against Bixby. Scored the winning TD in the third OT against Jenks in a semifinal.
10. Dom Forbes
Sand Springs, WR, Jr. (NR)
Returns to the rankings after setting a school record with 17 receptions at Bartlesville. Had 198 yards and a TD. For the season, has 44 catches for 487 yards and two TDs. Earned All-World first-team honors last year as he caught 70 passes for 1,551 yards and 20 TDs. Also scored on five of his 17 carries.
