Mirziyoyev visits recreation camp in Bostanlik - Qalampir.uz

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Bostanlik district of the Tashkent region today, September 15, and reviewed the conditions created at the ’’Renaissance’’ children’s health camp, the Presidential press service reported.

It was stated that education and youth issues in Uzbekistan have been elevated to the level of state policy. For this purpose, many educational institutions have been built and equipped with modern facilities. Along with general education, young people are also provided with specialized knowledge according to their abilities. In particular, 14 Presidential schools, 201 specialized schools, 2 sports schools, and 9 creative schools have been established. The teaching and assessment system used in these schools has also been introduced in 1,500 other schools. As a logical continuation of these efforts, special attention is being paid to selecting gifted students and training them at the international level. Last year, the Science Olympiad Center was established, and this year, an international school has been launched.

In accordance with the initiative of the Head of State, a program has been launched to prepare young people for admission to the universities of the American ’’Ivy League.’’ For this purpose, a national program was adopted. This year, 1,500 students were initially selected. They have been assigned 208 mentors from the Presidential and specialized schools.

The ’’Renaissance’’ camp is part of this system. Here, young people attend three-week intensive training courses throughout the year. Forty students who achieve the best results will be sent to Ivy League universities for exchange programs.

The camp has the capacity to accommodate nearly 500 students. Modern conditions have been created in the administration, educational buildings, and dormitories. A hotel, dining hall, and parking facilities provide additional convenience for visitors.

During the summer seminars, winners of subject competitions, young people with foreign language certificates, and children from socially vulnerable families took part. By making use of these equal opportunities, the boys and girls strengthened their knowledge and laid a solid foundation for their future.

It is no secret that in the past, camps were regarded primarily as places for rest and entertainment. Today, such perceptions have completely changed. ’’Renaissance’’ has become a space for education, spirituality, and innovation for students.

The President reviewed the conditions in the camp rooms and examined the inventions of the young participants.

STEAM classrooms, a flight simulator, and natural science laboratories help transform children’s interests into practical skills. They strengthen their knowledge in the library and their health on the sports fields. Activities in the art corner support creativity in art and literature. The picturesque nature and friendly environment uplift the mood and aspirations of the youth.

The Head of State also held a meeting with the leadership and graduates of the New Uzbekistan University.

’’The potential, energy, and aspirations of Uzbekistan’s youth are strong. If we, as a state and as a nation, ensure quality education, no one will be able to surpass our children; they will become leaders in every field,’’ Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.

A presentation of the Al-Khwarizmi University campus project was also held at the site. The initiative aims to create conditions for young people to gain knowledge and develop their talents. Important tasks were defined for the effective implementation of the project.
