Every month, I’ll be rounding up some of the most outrageous, shocking, and absurd moments under the Trump administration that would’ve been full-blown scandals at any other time in American history. So, here are 16 of the biggest WTF moments from September:
1. The House Oversight Committee obtained and released Donald Trump’s alleged birthday letter to Jeffrey Epstein.
2. Trump had a veryyy different reaction to the assassination of conservative personality Charlie Kirk vs. the assassination of Democratic lawmaker Melissa Hortman (and her husband and dog).
The Orange Man gave a 42-minute speech at Charlie’s memorial, where he delivered this controversial line:

3. But Trump wasn’t the only one with notable reactions to Charlie’s death. Texas representative Troy Nehls had quite the take…
…and White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt reposted this absolutely bonkers theory to her Instagram Story:
4. While speaking about crime statistics and his record, Trump seemingly implied that domestic violence shouldn’t be considered a crime (!!!).
5. South Carolina representative Nancy Mace repeatedly called for the deportation of Minnesota representative Ilhan Omar.
6. Despite a lack of clear evidence, Trump tied rising autism rates to Tylenol.
7. After discussing MAGA’s reaction to the Charlie Kirk shooting, Jimmy Kimmel was suspended.
Especially considering Trump’s response upon Jimmy’s return:
8. Trump made an absolute fool of himself at the UN General Assembly and told other countries that they’re “going to hell.”
9. Similarly, he spoke a lot of nonsense at the UK state dinner, where he told King Charles that the US is the “hottest country anywhere in the world.” Truly the rambles of an old-ass man.
10. And while we’re on the topic of the UK visit, I gotta mention first lady Melania Trump’s outfit because WTF was going on there.
11. The Department of Homeland Security posted a disgusting video of ICE agents detaining people with the “Gotta Catch’ Em All” theme song from Pokémon.
12. The Trump administration is reportedly considering a firearms ban for trans people, and even the NRA has seemingly spoken out against it.
13. Trump seemingly implied that people shouldn’t feel bad for Joe Biden, despite his stage 4 cancer diagnosis.
14. Despite all the recent Republican calls for censorship over jokes about people being killed, JD Vance — wait for it — seemingly made a joke about people being killed.
15. Unsurprisingly, the White House spent the month focused on all the wrong things, from the ridiculous upcoming UFC fight…
…to making foreign leaders “freak out” over the gold in the Oval Office.
16. And finally, the Trump administration reportedly ordered the removal of slavery-related exhibits from national parks.
