Dancehall star Stonebwoy has dismissed claims of throwing shade at rapper Sarkodie following his recent BHIM Fest concert at the Accra Sports Stadium.
In an interview shared by media personality Caleb Nii Boye and sighted on Instagram by Ghana Weekend on Wednesday October 1, the artiste stressed that his words were never meant as a comparison to Sarkodie’s Rapperholic Homecoming in Kumasi.
“God looks at man from the heart. I wasn’t comparing my show to his. I even shared his show on my story after,” Stonebwoy clarified.
“What I posted was simply a response to a fan’s comment about my show. My show was historic, yes, but people always want to spew lies about me. It’s not going to work.”
His comments come after days of heated online debates between BHIM Nation and Sark Nation fans, who clashed over which concert was more “historic.”
Stonebwoy’s repost of a fan’s picture with the caption “Historic” quickly spiraled into rivalry talk, especially as it followed Sarkodie’s sold-out Rapperholic on September 27 at Kumasi’s Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
Both events pulled massive crowds, Rapperholic boasting star features like Shatta Wale, Efya, Medikal, and Obrafour.
Social media soon turned into a battleground, with comparisons over attendance numbers, surprise acts, and overall impact.
Stonebwoy, however, insists there was no malice behind his post. He expressed frustration at what he described as “agendas” that seek to divide the industry.
