Over 324,000 car seats recalled: See if your model is impacted

More than 324,000 car seats are being recalled in the United States and Canada for a potential health risk to children.
Evenflo is voluntarily recalling certain models of its Revolve360 Slim, which is also being monitored by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
When a child is seated in the recalled car seat, they can reach behind the cushion, pick, and dislodge the foam from the headrest — posing a potential choking hazard if placed in the child’s mouth. The foam itself is non-toxic.
According to the company, this issue doesn’t affect the safety or integrity of the car seat in the event of a crash. At this time, Evenflo stated it has no knowledge of any incidents resulting in injury.
Affected models start with number 3681.
This recall doesn’t impact Revolve360 or Revolve360 Extend models, or new Revolve360 Slim with model numbers beginning with CS2601 or 3682.
The recall was made after a years-long investigation into the issue beginning in October 2023.
Evenflo is currently aware of 11 total reports of children accessing foam in the headrest and placing it in their mouth or nose.
The company is also aware of 12 additional reports of children accessing the foam, though not ingesting it.
On Sept. 15, management made the determination that the potential for access and picking at the headrest foam constitutes a defect, and action should be taken accordingly.
The recall was officially announced on Tuesday, Sept. 30.
Evenflo is providing free recall repair kits, including easy-to-use instructions and protective materials to block access to the foam. These kits will be sent to all customers for whom Evenflo has contact information.
When installed by the consumer according to accompanying instructions, the additional tape seal in the kit will protect against child access to the headrest foam.
Families can continue to use their car seat safely if the foam remains intact and out of reach.
Recall repair kits are expected to ship in early November. Families are asked to register their car seat to ensure they receive the recall repair kit, at evenflo.com/pages/product-registration.
