About Michael R. Schiavone

Mr. Schiavone is the business manager at the New York Liquidation Bureau, where he has overseen operations since 2019. He manages insurance programs, works with brokers to negotiate deals, and directs purchasing and contract management. He also oversees the bureau’s continuity of operations plan and oversees investigations into major fraudulent claims. Mr. Schiavone’s role extends to the finance department, where he reviews check and wire distributions and manages budget responsibilities, reflecting his expertise in both operations and insurance.

Early in his career, Mr. Schiavone served as a fraud investigator at the bureau from 2015 to 2019. This role strengthened his ability to detect and address fraudulent activities within the industry. He is also a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, highlighting his commitment to professional integrity and ethics. Before entering the insurance field, he co-founded Heights Productions LLC. He served as an executive producer from 2010 to 2013, an experience that continues to influence his approach today.

Education set the groundwork for Mr. Schiavone’s success. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in management from Hofstra University and a Master of Business Administration in finance from Adelphi University. Mr. Schiavone is also actively involved in civic and philanthropic endeavors. He supports pancreatic cancer research through organizations such as the Lustgarten Foundation and Let’s Win Pancreatic Cancer and has participated in fundraising efforts to advance these causes. His dedication extends beyond business, reflecting a strong commitment to making a positive impact in society.

In his personal life, Mr. Schiavone enjoys skiing, beach volleyball and spending time with his children. He values the balance between professional achievement and family life, seeing both as essential parts of his success.
