Maluma heats things up with “Bronceador,” his first No. 1 of the year on Billboard’s Latin Airplay chart. The song glides to the top of the overall ranking (dated Oct. 4) with a 5-1 rise thanks to a 44% increase in audience impressions to 9.9 million across Latin radio stations in the United States during the tracking week ending Sept. 25, according to Luminate.

“I’m so happy and grateful for my fans and everyone at radio who have helped make ‘Bronceador’ a success,” Maluma tells Billboard. “Reaching my 25th Billboard Latin Airplay No. 1 is a dream come true and motivates me to keep making music from the heart.”

Maluma’s new champ is his first chart-topper in almost two years, following a four-week reign with “Según Quién” alongside Carín León starting in Dec. 2023. Maluma was last atop the list, unaccompanied by another act, when “Coco Loco” led for a week in Oct. 2023.

As the Colombian star ups his career count to 25 No. 1s, here’s a recap of the artists with the most rulers since Latin Airplay began in 1994:

Released on PARIS LG/Sony Music Latin, the track also shines with its second week atop on Latin Pop Airplay. Plus, Maluma gains momentum on Latin Rhythm Airplay, where “Bronceador” climbs 2-1, marking its first week at No. 1 and earning Maluma his first leader on the list since October 2023.

Oscar Ortiz & Carín León’s First No. 1: Elsewhere on the Latin charts, Oscar Ortiz and Carín León claim the top spot on the Regional Mexican Airplay chart with “Y Si Te Vas,” which ascends 2-1 with Greatest Gainer honors, powered by a 24% growth in audience impressions across regional Mexican radio stations in the United States in week ending Sept. 25, as reported by Luminate.

Ortiz and León up their No. 1 count to two and 11, respectively. For Ortiz, this marks his first leader in over a year. For León, he now has the most No. 1s of 2025, with five. Plus, as all 11 of his No. 1s have come in the 2020s, León breaks out of a tie with Christian Nodal for the second-most No. 1s this decade among soloists. They both trail Alejandro Fernandez, with 14 leaders in the 2020s.

“Thanks for bringing me on board this song, carnalito (or brother), I really like it, hug!” León wrote on Ortiz’s Instagram account in July.
