ATLANTIC CITY — The MBCA Foundation will host its annual officer installation and awards gala Oct. 14 at Tropicana Atlantic City to celebrate its 34th anniversary. The event, themed “The Best is Yet to Come,” will honor Gary Hill, community activist and co-founder of the Metropolitan Business and Citizens Association and the Schultz-Hill Foundation.
Hill, who will receive the MBCA’s 2025 Community Spirit Award, is being recognized for his dedication to civic engagement and his work supporting the local arts community, according to a news release.

The celebration will feature a cocktail hour with a cash bar and a sit-down dinner with music by Steven Maglio. Mayor Marty Small Sr. will install the foundation’s 2026 Board of Directors: Aura Sanchez, Toni Brooks and Scott Brown.
Hill’s career has been dedicated to improving the lives of Atlantic City residents through his support of student scholarships, contributions to the arts community and assistance to local businesses, the release states. Hill also serves as chairman of the Atlantic City Municipal Utilities Authority and co-founded the Miss’d America drag competition.
