Tata Motors to invest ₹120 crore in Freight Tiger

Indian automaker Tata Motors announced a new investment of Rs 120 crore in Freight Commerce Solutions Private Limited (Freight Tiger).

Tata Motors has invested Rs 120 crore in the company with an earlier investment of Rs 150 crore in October 2023.

In October 2023, Tata Motors had announced the acquisition of 26.79 per cent stake in ‘Freight Tiger’ for a consideration of Rs 150 crore. The Securities Subscription Agreement (SAA) also included a provision allowing Tata Motors to invest an additional Rs 100 crore over the next two years.

Freight Tiger is a digital platform that provides end-to-end logistics value chain solutions for cargo movement in the country. The platform connects shippers, carriers, logistics service providers and fleet owners to a single digital marketplace, making it easy to find, book and manage freight.

“With this investment, we’re not just funding technology – we’re fundamentally reimagining logistics through artificial intelligence. Freight Tiger’s advanced AI capabilities will create India’s first truly integrated logistics ecosystem,” said TV Swaminathan, Vice President & Head- Digital Business, Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles.
