The Ba***ds of Bollywood is one of the most anticipated web shows of this year. Directed by Aryan Khan (son of Shah Rukh Khan), the series boasts an ensemble star cast, including Lakshya, Sahher Bambba, Vijayant Kohli, Bobby Deol and others. Ahead of the show’s grand premiere on Netflix (September 18), Vijayant Kohli exclusively interacted with Zoom. In conversation with us, he spoke about doing the series and praised Aryan. Vijayant Kohli praises The Ba***ds of Bollywood’s Aryan Khan During our chat, Vijayant Kohli revealed Aryan co-wrote The Ba***ds of Bollywood with two other writers for three years. The trio started writing it in COVID and completed in 2023. “Kehne ko toh star kid hi hain, but he is brilliant. When I read the script, I found it damn interesting. Aryan and two co-writers, these three friends, wrote the show during COVID. They wrote it for about good three years. They started writing in 2020 and finished it in 2023. And they started casting process in January 2023,” he revealed. One day, I got a call from the casting people about this show, and they didn’t divulge too many details. (They said) It is a Netflix show and has a new director. (They asked) ‘Would you be interested?’ I thought of reading the part and really liked the part,” he shared. What happened next? The actor revealed, “Then I went to the audition as well. Red Chillies show hai woh toh pata hi tha. I knew Red Chillies is a good production house, jo Shah Rukh sir and Gauri ma’am ka hain. I had already done one film, Dunki, with them. I knew that they were very nice people. That was the first thing that drew me to the script and the show.” In The Ba***ds of Bollywood, the actor will be seen playing the role of Lakshya aka Aasmaan Singh’s father, Rajat Singh.
