Educational loan mela held in Nagercoil

The first mega educational loan mela of Kanniyakumari district was organised at Government Engineering College at Konam here on Wednesday.

Inaugurating the educational loan mela, District Collector R. Alagumeena said the government, with the objective of financially helping deserving students to continue their higher education and thereby putting an end to the dropouts, was organising educational loan melas by bringing the banks under one roof. Since this timely assistance would put an end to the dropouts issue, the government was keen on organising educational loan melas in all the blocks so that the aspiring students could participate in the camps closer to their places.

To prepare the students for these camps, awareness teams have been created in every college to explain in detail about the procedures to be followed for availing educational loans by submitting online the necessary documents in https://pmvidyalaxmi.co.in

Hence, the students can get the educational loans without hassle by submitting their applications online and participating in these camps. Students of arts and science, medicine, engineering, polytechnic, law, agriculture etc., who are planning to apply for educational loans, may participate in the camps being organised in their respective areas and submit their loan applications with two passport photos of the applicant and their parents, copies of Aadhaar cards of the applicants and their parents, PAN card copies of applicants and parents, copies of voter identity cards of applicants and their parents, copies of ration card or driving license, copies of nativity certificate and income certificates, first page of the bank passbook of the applicants and their parents, bona fide certificate given by the college, fee structure letter, college identity card copy, college admission letter and the first graduate certificate (in the case of first graduates alone).

For more information, the students may contact 99444-45202, Ms. Alagumeena said.
