Western International Group (WIG UK) instructed the business to identify a suitable property to act as its national headquarters, with an excellent strategic position being top priority.
Western International Group, which expanded from UAE to the UK in 2018, has become synonymous with its household GEEPAS and Royalford brands, with more than two million products sold over the past five years.
Tom Morley, who acted on WIG UK’s behalf, said: “Since adopting Birmingham as its national hub, WIG UK has expanded rapidly, operating from four separate facilities throughout the Black Country. Having solidified its market position, the business tasked us with identifying a suitable facility to bring its operations under one roof, with first-class road links being of paramount importance in order to enhance its online fulfilment capacity and supply its national network of independent retailers.
“We identified a number of potential properties, with Wolverhampton 116, a 115,708 sq ft distribution centre strategically positioned on the A460 Cannock Road close to the UK motorway network, being WIG’s preferred choice.
“Refurbished to a high specification with an EPC A rating, the property offered extensive warehouse space with 360-degree circulation, a 35m yard, ground- and first-floor offices and 19 HGV parking spaces,” said Tom.
Further to agreeing a 10-year lease at the property, Western International Group has officially taken occupation of the site. The company has begun a significant local recruitment drive, to generate more than 50 new jobs in the area.
The new headquarters incorporates advanced creative facilities, including a fully equipped kitchen studio for Geepas, the household brand with a fast-growing social media recognition and rapidly expanding audience.
Suhail CV, managing director of WIG UK, said: “This momentous move to our new Wolverhampton headquarters represents more than just additional office space; it signals our long-term commitment to the UK. By investing in local talent and infrastructure we are not only supporting the regional economy but also equipping our brands, including Geepas, with the creative facilities they need to thrive in today’s digital-fast world.”
