Defending champs back at top of Varsity Maine girls soccer poll

Reigning Class A champion Bangor returned to the top of the Varsity Maine girls soccer poll after a week away. The Rams took care of business in both of their games last week with wins over Brunswick and Edward Little.
Last week’s top team, Falmouth, caused uncertainty among some voters with its tie against Windham last Wednesday. The Navigators are now No. 2, yet still received two first-place votes. Six first-place votes went to Bangor and one went to Cape Elizabeth, which jumped from sixth to third in this week’s rankings.
Skowhegan keeps winning and has been rewarded by joining the poll in a three-way tie for ninth.
The Varsity Maine girls soccer poll is based on games played before Sept. 30, 2025. The top 10 teams are voted on by the Varsity Maine staff, with first-place votes in parentheses, followed by total points.
