Japan’s largest brewer, Asahi, was hit by a cyberattack on Monday, resulting in a “systems failure”.

The disruption affected orders, shipment, and customer service operations exclusively within its Japanese business.

Asahi stated there was no confirmed leakage of personal information or customer data at the time of the report.

The company clarified that its European operations, including its UK beer supply, remained unaffected by the incident.

Asahi is actively investigating the cause and working to restore operations, but has not yet provided an estimated timeline for recovery.
