New Amazon devices are getting announced imminently, and I have a sneaking suspicion of what they may be

Reductions across the Ring and Blink camera ranges have me intrigued

Amazon is gearing up to announce new branded products in the coming hours, with its annual Devices and Services event starting at 10 am ET / 12 am AEST (Wednesday). But the tight-lipped retailer might have just dropped a sneaky hint about what’s to come in the lead-up to Prime Big Deal Days.
Prime Big Deal Days kicks off globally on October 7, 2025, with deals expected on the latest tech, appliances and more. Often, a week before the sale starts, the retailer discounts its own device range as early Prime Day deals.
After looking into the newly available deals, I’ve spotted several price drops in Amazon’s existing lineup. Multiple Ring, Blink, and eero devices have had their RRPs slashed. For simplicity’s sake, I’ve popped them into a table below, highlighting each device’s previous pricing.

Ring Indoor Camera 2nd Gen
Ring Pan-Tilt Indoor Camera
Ring Video Doorbell Pro
Ring Floodlight Camera Plus
Amazon eero 6 Wi-Fi router
Blink Mini 2 Indoor Camera
Blink Outdoor 4 Camera
Alongside the launch of Alexa+, we had previously speculated that most, if not all, Amazon devices would likely get an upgrade. The last major product was the Echo Show 21 in 2024. These price drops, however, hint that a new Ring camera range may be coming, with older products like the Ring Indoor Camera 2nd Gen getting an AU$20 list price reduction. Meanwhile, the newer Ring Pan-Tilt Camera, released in 2024, also saw a AU$30 list price cut, suggesting a second generation might already be in the works.
Aside from Ring, Amazon’s budget home security brand, Blink, could be releasing more devices Down Under and expanding the lineup, seeing as both products received markdowns. U.S. customers can currently purchase Blink-branded floodlight cameras, a Mini Pan-Tilt Camera, and even a recently released Video Doorbell, which rivals Ring’s own. Australians could only purchase the budget brand late last year, so it’s about time we saw more Blink products on offer.
The updated pricing also suggests that a new eero router might be heading our way. Given the popularity of eero’s Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 7 routers with Australian telcos, it could be a sign that the next iteration of eero routers is arriving imminently. But given Wi-Fi 8’s infancy, we likely won’t see Amazon, or other router brands, jump on board just yet.
At the time of writing, there seem to be no signs of a new generation of existing Echo devices, as all RRPs remain the same, according to our research. Ranging from smart speakers, home displays, and alarm clocks, Echo devices make up a large portion of Amazon’s products. That said, The Verge spotted a teaser for an Echo Ring, but personally, I am still holding out hope for the launch of the Echo Frames in Australia.
