TreVeyon Henderson will likely always remember his first NFL touchdown, but Hunter Henry made sure he had something to remember it by.
The Patriots tight end grabbed the ball after he scored in New England’s 42-13 win over the Carolina Panthers in Week 4.
“I’m like, ‘Oh, that’s TreVeyon. I’m pretty sure that’s the first one. Let me just grab it,’” Henry said to his teammates after the touchdown in a video posted by the Patriots.
Henry, one of the New England’s veteran leaders this season, remembers what it was like scoring his first touchdown, and wanted to make sure Henderson was recognized for it.
“I remember those moments, and your first touchdown is huge in this league, it’s so hard for you to score,” Henry told reporters at Gillette Stadium after Sunday’s win. “So it’s a pretty special moment for him.”
Henderson was drafted by the Patriots in the second round of the 2025 NFL Draft and has played in all four games for New England thus far. He’ll look to play an even bigger role in Week 5 when the Patriots travel to Buffalo to take on the Bills.
