Best fantasy football kicker waiver wire pickups for Week 5

Welcome to the Week 4 waiver wire watch!
Another weekend of action is in the books as we’re officially through the first month of the 2025 NFL season. Whether you won your fantasy league matchup or got absolutely smoked, you’re probably looking for ways to fortify your rosters ahead of next week. That’s where we come in.
We’ll go over some kicker options that you should consider scooping off the waiver wire and we’ll classify a waiver add as someone that is rostered in roughly 40% of leagues at maximum.
Shrader remains the top fantasy kicker for the season and he helped keep Indy in the game in its 27-20 loss to the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday. He went 2-2 on both field goal and extra point attempts and his 10 fantasy points was his lowest output of the season so far, which speaks to how consistent he has been.
The Colts’ offense continues to boast the NFL’s best success rate at 50% and Shrader will continue to eat as long as they can stay ahead of schedule and move the ball down the field. It also helps playing in a climate controlled environment like Lucas Oil Stadium and that’s where they will be when hosting the Raiders this week. Again, the top kicker is just sitting on the waiver wire in most leagues ready to be picked up. So pick him up!
Week 5 matchup: vs. Las Vegas Raiders, 1 p.m. ET
The Seahawks needed Myers’ leg to put them over the top in their 23-20 victory over the Arizona Cardinals last Thursday night. The veteran made three of his four field goals while also booting two successful extra point attempts and his 52-yarder as time expired clinched the win for Seattle, smelling salts and all.
14 fantasy points is what he was able to generate for the week and it was the second straight game where he reached double digits. Seattle finds itself in the thick of a competitive NFC West race heading into the month of October and Myers should continue to play a major role in the team’s success
Week 5 matchup: vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 4:05 p.m. ET
Gay had a busy afternoon in Washington’s 34-27 loss to the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, booting four successful field goal attempts and an extra point for a season-high 18 fantasy points. It was a bit of redemption for him after he combined for three misses in the prior two games and it seems that he’s getting back on track as a viable fantasy option.
Something to note is that all seven of his made field goals this season have come exclusively from 40+ yards and he is just one of two kickers who hold that unique designation this season. With the Commanders playing in another roofed venue in L.A. this week, there will be chances for Gay to boot more long field goals for Washington.
