ITV Loose Women suffers huge blunder as opening titles fail to play

Tuesday’s Loose Women episode began in peculiar fashion with all four panellists nowhere to be seen. Viewers tuning into the ITV daytime programme were left baffled as they watched the live broadcast on September 30. Whilst the familiar theme music played, audiences were met with nothing but an empty desk rather than the expected quartet of presenters. Social media users quickly reacted, with one viewer writing: “That was weird #loosewomen.” Another commented: “wtf was that? #loosewomen.”, reports the Mirror . Shortly afterwards, presenter Jane Moore emerged through the sliding doors accompanied by panellists Mariella Frostrup, Kelly Brook and Sunetra Sarker. Journalists Jane promptly launched the show by covering the day’s top stories and announced that Kelsey Parker would be appearing in the studio. This follows confirmation that a special Loose Women episode will broadcast next month to commemorate World Mental Health Day. The unique programme will honour music’s transformative power and its influence on our lives. Broadcasting on Thursday, October 9, Loose Women: The Music will showcase panellists Coleen Nolan, Kelle Bryan, Brenda Edwards, Myleene Klass and Oti Mabuse. The presenters will share how music has influenced their journeys and supported them through significant life experiences and cherished memories. An official announcement stated: “Throughout the show, from 12.30pm on ITV1 and STV, Coleen, Kelle and Brenda will take to the stage to perform the songs that are closest to their hearts. “Viewers will also be treated to a show-stopping rumba from Oti Mabuse, and Myleene Klass will accompany the ladies as she showcases her musical talents on the piano.” In a fresh teaser for the episode, Brenda is heard describing music as “a universal language”, with Myleene expressing that it “touches your soul” and Kelle affirming that “music has always been a part” of her life. It’s been confirmed that Loose Women will only broadcast for 30 weeks in 2026, rather than its usual weekly airing throughout the year. Major changes at ITV will also see Lorraine trimmed down to just 30 minutes and likewise only broadcasting for 30 weeks a year. Good Morning Britain is set to extend by half an hour, encroaching into Lorraine Kelly’s talk show’s traditional 9am start. Loose Women airs weekdays on ITV1 and ITVX at 12.30pm
