Stourbridge care home residents receive full sensory ‘MOT’ during Health & Wellbeing Day

Stourbridge care home residents receive full sensory 'MOT' during Health & Wellbeing Day

The event welcomed specialists from Connect Eyecare and Hear In Hagley, who provided full eye examinations, hearing checks, and informative health guidance to ensure residents are seeing and hearing as clearly as possible. The day included: Full eye tests with a selection of stylish frames available for those who needed them and Hearing assessments using in-ear cameras to provide detailed insight into residents’ hearing health.

The event was organised as part of Iverley View’s ongoing commitment to Life Enrichment and preventative care, ensuring residents not only enjoy engaging activities, but also maintain their independence and quality of life.

“We’re always looking for new ways to enrich the lives of our residents,” said Yasmin Lakhan, Activities Coordinator. “Today was all about giving residents a little ‘MOT’ making sure their senses are looked after just as well as their social lives. We’re so grateful to Jo from Hear In and the team from Connect Eyecare for making the day such a success.”

Residents left feeling reassured, listened to, and well looked after with plenty of smiles and even a few new glasses on the way!
