90s ‘Martin’ Star Tisha Campbell Dances Into 57th Birthday

Tisha Campbell is loving life these days!
The legendary ’90s sitcom star, who first starred on the comedy drama Rags to Riches, became a household name alongside Martin Lawrence on the iconic series Martin. She played Gina, the long-suffering girlfriend of Martin, a Detroit radio DJ. The show, which ran from 1992 to 1997, was a fan favorite, and even reunited the cast members at the 2024 Primetime Emmy Awards. Campbell went on to star in the ABC series My Wife & Kids alongside Damon Wayans, which ran until 2005.
These days, Campbell is still going strong. Looking better than ever, Campbell danced and lip-synced her way into her 57th birthday on Monday alongside her family with a fun rendition of the iconic song “Never Knew Love Like This Before” by Stephanie Mills. Dressed in a chic sequined blue jumpsuit with four people behind her functioning as backup singers, Campbell performed the lead part of the song like a pro.
“It’s my BIRTHDAYYYYYY!!!!! 😍🎉🎂🥳🎈🎊😘 love my fam! @teamillzzac @lottapaiiin,” Campbell captioned the video, which had “celebrating my BIRTHDAY with the FAM” written over it.

Campbell Opened Up About Plastic Surgery
Earlier this year at the BET Awards, Campbell revealed she underwent plastic surgery.
“I recently got plastic surgery. It was a mommy makeover. I had extra skin from the baby, and a little bit of drop this here, and a little bit of drop this there, and they tightened me together,” the mother of two told Entertainment Tonight.
“We should be feeling good about ourselves, you know? I’m a single mom, not ready for dating, but I just wanted to feel good for me. First of all, I’m an open book. Second, I just think it’s more important to know why one does it.”
Campbell made it clear that she emphasizes transparency.
“I think it’s more important to be honest to know that I didn’t get all this by myself. It’s nice to be a little more snatched around that area for me. It’s not for everybody, but it was for me,” she continued.
She’s Doing Standup These Days
Campbell is taking her talents to the stage these days and doing a stand-up comedy tour alongside Finesse Mitchell. Naturally, it’s called the Dayum Gina! Tour, a joke any Martin fan will get.
