8th Pay Commission: How much more will you earn if your Basic Salary is Rs 60,000 under…, easiest formula to check is…

8th Pay Commission Salary Calculator: Central government employees are eagerly awaiting their salary hike under the upcoming 8th Pay Commission. The biggest confusion hovering around these employees is how to calculate their salaries with the expected hike. Will the central government use any new formula or stick to the Pay Matrix (8th Pay Commission)? As per sources this time the salary determination formula will not change. Discussions within government circles suggest that this time the salary determination formula will not be new Instead it will rely on the existing pay matrix. Most likely a new fitment factor will be applied by the commission. How Much Will Your Salary Increase? If we see the current system the minimum basic pay of the central government employee is Rs 18000. The proposed fitment factor under consideration is 1.92. based on this the revised basic pay will be Rs18000 × 1.92 or Rs34560. It simply means that the basic salary will witness an increase of over Rs16500. DA HRA and other allowances will be added to this basic pay. Based on this lets calculate how much the salary of those with a basic pay of Rs60000 will increase. Its possible that a Group B gazetted officers salary will be around Rs60000. How Much More Will You Earn If Your Basic Salary Is Rs 60000? It is worth noting that other allowances will also be added to the salary. For example if a Group B gazetted officer who’s basic pay is Rs 60000 or Rs 1.10 lakh will get salary hike of approx Rs 2.10 lakh under the 8th Pay Commission. When Will 8th Pay Commission’s Benefits Be Available? Notably 8th Pay Commission has not yet been officially formed. It is expected to be implemented in 2026. Central government employees hopes that notification will come by the end of this year. If it happens their revised salaries and arrears will reflect from January 1 2026. The government is also considering raising the accident insurance limit. Another proposal is to merge some pay levels. Fewer levels would mean faster promotions for employees.
