The eighth Annual Convening on Impact Investing (ACII), hosted by the Impact Investors Foundation (IIF), culminated in a night of inspiration and recognition at the prestigious Dinner and Awards ceremony. Held at the Civic Center in Lagos, this grand finale celebrated the true champions of Nigeria’s impact economy, the impactful businesses, pioneering investors, and dedicated non-profit organizations whose work demonstrates that profit and purpose can thrive together. The selection process for the winners was based on how the organizations had integrated social or environmental criteria into their business investment or strategy. As part of the screening process, the nominees were required to submit documents that went through rigorous review by judges who are professionals with several years on experience in the ecosystem. They verified their impact strategy as well as their quantitative and qualitative their social impact data. Following this verification, 13 nominees were shortlisted for the final review. The final winners were then selected by the judges based on an evaluation that measured intentionality, financial returns, impact, sustainability, innovation, and scalability. The Awards are much more than a celebration; they are a vital mechanism for spotlighting measurable social and environmental value and encouraging all stakeholders to adopt impact-aligned strategies for inclusive growth. The awards and dinner served as the capstone of the two-day convening on Impact Investing, shining a spotlight on those who are actively building Nigeria’s impact economy. The winner of the 2025 Annual Award for Impact Investing in the Social Enterprise Category was Omni Retail Technologies. The winner of the 2025 Annual Award for Impact Investing in the Impact Investor Category was Alitheia Capital Management. The Innocent C. Chukwuma Award for Social Impact went to Raising Star Foundation, who won the category. This award is in recognition of the Late Innocent C. Chukwuma for his legacy in advancing social justice and was sponsored by Agon Workman, DevEast, Project Alert and Innocent Chukwuemeka Chukwuma Empowerment Foundation (ICCEF). Etemore Glover, CEO of the Impact Investors Foundation, concluded the evening by emphasizing the power of recognition. “Tonight, we don’t just hand out trophies; we celebrate proof points. “The achievements of Omni Retail Technologies, Alitheia Capital Management, and the incredible work of Raising Star Foundation, confirm that purpose-driven capital is not a niche—it is the indispensable strategy for Nigeria’s sustainable development. “By shining a light on these trailblazers, we inspire thousands more investors and entrepreneurs to embed social and environmental impact into their core business model.” Impact Investors Foundation remains committed to leveraging data from its newly launched 2025 Impact Investing Landscape Study to guide more capital towards replicating these award-winning models, driving Nigeria closer to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
